Marketing Strategy

Spark Foundation Strategy

SPARK Foundation, a youth education and life-skill program, was looking to improve its website and search ranking

Created for: Rochelle Prasad, Executive Director & Founder and the SPARK Foundation team

Problems:

1. Lack of relevant keywords and the name of the organization: "SPARK Foundation" within website content; thus, affecting search ranking

2. Lack of context and content that meet audience information needs

3. Design inconsistencies regarding colour, font, embedded content and mobile responsiveness compared to desktop view

Impact: Improve the website’s UX (navigation and design consistency), provide more context on their programs and increase its ranking on organic google search results to ensure audiences’ information needs are quickly met

Key Contributions:

•  Identified key problems on the website

•  Analyzed customer and user pain points through UX testing

•  Analyzed and selected different web builder platforms, based on SPARK Foundation's needs and resources

•  Wrote, edited and embedded relevant keywords into current website content

•  Identified more ways: meta tags, Google My Business and backlinking to boost SEO

•  Provided explanations and practical examples to explain our strategy to a non-technical audience
