Using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe InDesign
Photoshop can be a great way to perfect images and solve problems to generate positive responses whether it's from beauty or humour.
Context: I photoshopped images for BASS LAUNCH, within holistic marketing roles, to solve a problem. Not every LAUNCH Leader was available to attend the photoshoot so I photoshopped their faces onto the picture for Leader pair introductions on social media. Simultaneously, these humorous photos also generated more engagement.
Key Considerations:
• The organization’s brand guidelines and key message, ensuring consistency
• Tasteful and clean photoshop effects aligned with the marketing campaign’s goals and past content
• The audience’s needs, language and behaviour, ensuring content is relevant, relatable and optimized, as analytics can show, for example, that past content posted at 9:00 pm show higher engagement, meaning that posting at 9:00 pm can be effective for future content posts
• The balance of text, white space and colours on the photo and/or caption
• The image dimensions and resolution, suited to the right social media platform as photos that take up the most space on a smartphone can draw more audience attention and square images on Instagram are preferred aesthetically
Key Steps:
1. Developing my Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lighroom and Adobe InDesign skills through self-directed learning via online sources such as Youtube tutorials, alongside mentorship
2. Editing the image; ensuring the right lighting and dimensions before photoshopping
3. Creatively generating photoshop ideas through analyzing photoshop techniques implemented in similar content
4. In this case, ensuring that LAUNCH Leaders were satisfied with the photo through multiple-rounds of feedback and iterations
5. Analyzing past results and conducting research to ensure the right timing, hashtags and components like location tags are used, to generate more awareness and engagement
6. Publishing content via the right channel at the right time, planned through an editorial calendar and platform like Hootsuite or Planoly
I am always open to marketing, sales and consulting opportunities.
